The Volta is a beautifully designed and high performance electric bike that weighs 35 lbs. As we can see from the images, the ebike shows off a simple, elegant, urban-style appearance design that fits for different personal styles, and its lightweight design allows you to easily carry it up the stairs when you grow back home. Meanwhile, using its aluminum Pure Cycles E-frame with hydroformed tubing and Pure Cycles alloy fork, the ebike also delivers a solid and durable construction.
The Volta comes in two models. One uses belt drive for a classic riding experience, and it’s low-maintenance and mess free. Another features chain drive. Using integrated 8 speed shifter, the Volta with chain drive brings you a more relaxing riding experience.
The electric bike comes equipped with a 36V 250W rear hub motor and built-in 2.9Ah lithium ion battery in order to deliver a top speed of 20mph (32km/h) and up to 40 mile (65km) riding range. Furthermore, the ebike also features integrated front, rear LED lights and brake lights for safe riding even at night, and its brakes are able to automatically cut off motor assist when triggered.
Moreover, a GPS tracker has been integrated into the ebike, providing 24-hour tracking, so you can easily locate your Volta with your smartphone and it prevents the ebike from thieves. The Volta can also track your rides, and its companion app displays detailed tracking data including calories burned, time, routes and more. Apart from these, an integrated front basket is designed to hold your briefcase, a bag of groceries or other items on the way home.
The crowdfunding campaign for Volta is ongoing on Kickstarter. You can pledge $1,399 to preorder the electric bike. Both models will be shipped in August this year.
