LG has released the first Android Wear 2.0 powered smartwatches including LG Watch Sport and Watch Style. Want to learn more about the latest wearables? Let’s continue checking.
LG Watch Sport and LG Watch Style are two high-performance and stylish smartwatches. The Watch Sport’s watchcase measures 45.4 x 51.21 x 14.2mm, and as we can see from the images, it shows off a minimalistic and a bit rugged form factor along with two beautiful and low-profile color options including titanium and dark blue. The smartwatch meets IP68 waterproof standards, so as its name implies, you can wear it for various outdoor activities.
Compared with the Watch Sport, LG Watch Style features a more elegant and sleek appearance design with three fashionable color options including silver, titanium and rose gold. The Watch Style’s watchcase measures 42.3 x 45.7 x 10.79mm, and its IP67 water resistant rating gives you the peace of mind even in the rain.
Both smartwatches run Google Android Wear 2.0 OS, so you can use your voice to complete various tasks by holding the power button or saying “OK Google”, and on-watch Google Play Store allows you to directly download your favorite apps without needing your smartphone.
LG Watch Sport and Watch Style are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor, and LG Watch Sport also features 4G LTE connectivity and GPS so the smartwatch works as a standalone fitness tracker that tracks your activity and workouts and runs apps without connecting with your phone.
Moreover, LG Watch Sport comes with a 1.38-inch P-OLED display with 480 x 480 resolution and 348 ppi pixel density while LG Watch Style features a 1.2-inch P-OLED display with 360 x 360 resolution and 299 ppi pixel density. In addition, the Sport and Style models have 768MB LPDDR3 and 512MB LPDDR3 RAM respectively so both models smoothly run various apps.
LG Watch Sport and Watch Style will be rolled out this month. The former has been available for preorder for $379.99 without contract on Verizon. If you’re interested, jump to LG official site for its more details.
